Cure The Malaise

That’s the phrase.

The Malaise is Low Expectations, leading to Same Shit, Different Day, and, of course the classic, Life Sucks And Then You Die.

It has a grip on my hometown of Lynn, Mass., USA.

My goal is to remove Low Expectations from the hearts and minds of Lynners.

The rest of the negativity will go away on its own.

This disease started a long time ago, when the core city began its decline.

While Lynners held on to something good, the fast lane went right by.

The ‘Woe Is Us’ moaning, and 'Pie In The Sky' promises started shortly after that.

Ironically, it turns out we did the right thing in the long run.

The fast lane has gotten crowded and ugly along the way.

The good we held onto is still around in Lynn, simmering on the back burner.

Here we sit, insulated in our wild diversity, a stronghold of Democracy In Action and The American Way, ready for The Future.
